When is Rome...

There is a saying that goes something like this, "When is Rome, do as the Romans do", and it is true that in many ways modern America is very similar to ancient Rome.  Rome was never really conquered from the outside but crumbled from within due to the breakdown of the nuclear family, pleasure and free time developing to an art form and the shift of emphasis on individual liberties to what is best for the collective.  We are called as Christ Followers not to mirror our culture but to reflect Jesus to our world.  We ae called as Christ's ambassadors to represent the Kingdom of God.  As American's we are not called to do as American's do, but to live as we are commanded by Jesus, not longer living for ourselves but for Him.

  In the Book of Romans the Apostle Paul emphasizes the Gospel of Grace.  He outlines chapter by chapter the condition of man and His need for this grace that brings salvation, how that salvation was provided and is received, and how it is applied in our life.

  Please join us each week and we work through the letter of the Apostle Paul to the church in Rome, chapter by chapter and verse by verse.  The Holy Spirit will use these chapters of God's Word to transform us and change our lives.  You are welcome to join us on this journey!
